We have noticed some issues in Tally ERP 9 Release 1.51 which probably seems to be a BUG.
BUG:
When a request is sent to push/pull data, the Tally Software terminates with the following message :-
Internal Error: Contact Tally Solutions
Software Exception c000005
(Memory Access Voilation)
Update: 16th Oct., 2009
It is confirmed by Tally Solutions, Bangalore that this issue is an BUG and shall be rectified in the coming
/ new Release of Tally ERP 9.

The aforesaid issue in Tally ERP 9 Release 1.51 has been solved in the Release
1.52.
The SVCURRENTCOMAPNY tag does not work with Tally ERP 9 Release 1.3. Even though the destination company is specified using the
SVCURRENTCOMPANY tag, still the data is imported into the currently selected Company in Tally.
Update
This problem has been solved in Tally ERP 9 Release 1.5.
Recently (May '09) while working on Tally ERP 9, we faced some problems. Tally
ERP 9 was very slow while processing the SQL-SELECT statements as compared
to the previous Tally releases. Here are the details of the TESTs that we performed
:-
1) Tally versions used in our TESTs
We performed TESTs on different versions of Tally viz
a) Tally 7.2 Release 3.12
b) Tally 9 Release 2.14
c) Tally 9 Release 3 BETA
d) Tally ERP 9 Series A (Release 1)
2) The TEST data
We used Ledger Master data (5000 Ledgers) for testing. The data that we
used for TESTing can be downloaded from these links :-

3) The TEST
Steps:-
a) Start Tally Software
b) Press Ctrl+N to switch to Calculator Panel
c) Type out the following SQL-SELECT statement :-
SELECT $NAME,$PARENT FROM LEDGER WHERE $NAME="Ledger4900"
d) Press Enter-key to execute the SQL-SELECT statement. (The results will appear
in a new window in Tally)

5) Conculsion **
In the TESTs performed by us, we found that Tally ERP 9 is very slow in processing
the SQL-SELECT statements. We have appraised Tally Solutions, Bangalore about this
issue and their response shall be put up as and when we get it.

The SELECT SQL slow speed in Tally ERP 9 has been solved in Release 1.5.
